Dedicated to the eternal memory of the hero Parviz Hayatullayev

In recent days, Azerbaijan has faced one of the most devastating natural disasters in decades. Continuous rain, snowstorms, powerful mudflows, and floods have caused significant damage across the country. Unfortunately, the disaster did not spare our company — EVRASCON.

On the morning of April 16, 2025, in the village of Kalva, Agsu district, the Agsu River overflowed its banks. The floodwaters engulfed construction machinery with two of our employees trapped inside. Their lives were in danger — the powerful current could have swept them away at any moment. The site manager, Parviz Gani oglu Hayatullayev, arrived at the scene.

Parviz didn’t hesitate for a second. He ordered everyone to stand back and personally climbed into the bucket of an excavator to try and rescue his colleagues. He did everything he could, risking his own life, making repeated attempts to reach them. But the raging force of nature proved stronger. The mudflow swept away the excavator along with him… The machine flipped over and sank. We lost not just a professional — we lost a man with a great heart and unbreakable will.

Parviz was not only an outstanding engineer and supervisor, under whose leadership over 800 people worked, but a true leader — honest, just, and courageous. He could have delegated the task to someone else, but he chose to go himself. Like a true commander, he took the blow upon himself. He died saving others — knowingly, with open eyes, staying true to his duty until the very end.

Parviz is survived by four children — three daughters and a son. This is an irreparable loss for his family, for us, and for the entire nation. His heroic act will forever live on in the memory of everyone who knew him or heard about his courage. He was loved and respected by his colleagues and became a role model for younger generations — a symbol of bravery and loyalty.

Parviz Gani oglu Hayatullayev was born on June 30, 1982, in the city of Ganja. In 2002, he graduated from the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction with a degree in Transport Engineering (automobile roads and airfields). From 2009 to 2015, and again from October 2016 to April 2025, he worked at EVRASCON, rising from engineer to site manager. His final project was the construction of the Muganly–Ismayilli–Gabala highway section (Lot-1, km 0+000–14+000), where he led the construction efforts.

May his memory live on. We grieve. We are grateful. He will forever remain in our hearts.

Allah rəhmət eləsin.
May Allah have mercy on him.
